ORGANIC
Ó Jack Hoban
February 1998

The night was wet and clear I slowly walked into the street
There was a halo ‘round the streetlights I could hear a pulsing beat
I remember just how lonely life could be
I was surrounded by the feelings that had always saddened me
And then you came upon me softly in the night
Down an unused darkened pathway winding from out of sight
And I was feeling the things I’d missed for far too long
I never thought I’d get them back baby I was wrong

Your love is like the air
Your love is like the sea
Your love is like the earth
It’s organic to me

You moved up to me quietly I could not see your eyes
Only your hands because they reached for me I started in surprise
A mist was swirling (br) and I could not see your feet
And so I reached my shaking hand and watched our fingers meet
And at that moment I could see your face
Aligned with mine it was in cosmic time and space
We crossed the line into a lovers’ abyss
We could not breath our lips met in a kiss

Bridge

And as I try to melt this heart of stone
Facing all the elements alone
Staring at the stars all by myself
With nobody else, I need your help
I need somebody to love

And finally the night cleared we stood on rocky shores
I could hear the waves were crashing and feel our spirits soar
Your hair was in my hands and mouth and I could smell your moist perfume
Your breath was spice I could feel the passion loom
And at that moment we finally were one
And we would take a daily lesson from the moon and from the sun
I will love you with all the rhythm of the days
Our love’s organic, our flesh is magic, hey, hey…
